Here Be Monst3r

I had an incredibly vivid dream a few nights ago. I was alone, sitting in the living room when I heard a gentle tapping at the patio windows. When I got up to investigate, I saw a gathering of Disneyesque animals (deer, rabbits, birds and other cutesy woodland creatures) vying for my attention. Real animals though, not cartoon ones (coz that’d just be crazy?) Anyway. As I slide open the window to make sense of the situation one of the animals urgently says, “Come with us, we have to show you something.” I follow the wonderful beasties through eerily deserted local streets (that are totally unfamiliar). As we walked, I asked the kind of questions you’d naturally ask a band of talking animals (although the specifics fell from my head upon awakening). Eventually we reach our destination and a white goose says, “This is it, just around the corner.” I walk around the corner and I’m paralyzed by an overwhelming sense of awe and dread in equal amount.
